Assistant Structural Engineer

When progressed in role (level 4), able to tackle routine engineering tasks and assist with more complex tasks, all under supervision. Works on individual engineering tasks. When progressed in role (level 4), is able to undertake packages of work, rather than individual tasks. Under direction by a supervising engineer, can produce the relevant engineering calculations, use the relevant design or modelling software. When progressed (level 4), can evaluate and select the appropriate calculation, analysis or modelling approach to an engineering problem, with review by a supervising engineer. Complies with sustainability and safety requirements, industry standards and conventions in technical documentation. Understands the real world application of design standards. Works under close supervision, assisting senior colleagues. When progressed in role (level 4), able to work under general supervision. Has commenced process for attaining relevant certification and registration. Assists colleagues deliver positive client experience; meets internal deadlines.
