After School School-Age Teacher/Driver
Gretchen's House Child Care Centers are seeking a responsible and dependable School-Age Teacher/ Driver to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to student safety and well-being while ensuring timely and secure transportation services. If you hold a valid chauffeur license (will train/provide if needed) and have a passion for working with children, we encourage you to apply.
Regular work hours are 2:30-5:15, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely pick up and drop off students according to designated routes and schedules
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and student attendance
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students as needed
- Report any vehicle issues or safety concerns promptly to management
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid chauffeur license (will train/provide)
- Proven driving experience, preferably with school or passenger vehicles
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings and afternoons
- Clean driving record and background check clearance
