Conducts/interprets audiometric tests and develops methods/research material to aid in audiological studies and operations.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs/interprets audiometric tests.
- Assists in selection of subjects and works with patients in the selection/fitting of conventional and programmable hearing aids and cochlear implants.
- Designs methods to access the effectiveness of hearing aid and cochlear implant technology.
- Determines appropriate statistical method (s) for analyzing experimental findings.
- Prepares manuscripts, graphs, photographs and tables for submission to scientific journals and professional meetings.
- Prepares reports on project findings for funding agency and documents for Human Studies Committee, including Informed Consent Forms.
- Submits an annual report.
- Calibrates/maintains audiologic equipment.
- Assists in teaching activities of professional staff.
- Recruits and Schedules research participants, maintains IRB protocols and study documentation, and supports daily lab operations.
