As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to government facilities, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
- Maintain required documentation, including daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate observations to site leadership and public protection personnel as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
