Business Functional Technical Data Analyst

Mission Overview:

You will be employed on a consultancy mission at a client site representing Keystone Solutions. The client is responsible for managing police information and ICT resources. Within this environment, the Systems Division develops the ICT system architecture, organizes and manages ICT systems, and is responsible for technical analysis, system architecture, servers, networks, databases, communication, technical standards, security, and specialized support.

Project Details:

As part of the ongoing digital transformation and the phasing out of mainframe-based applications, we are seeking a Business / Functional / Technical Data Analyst. The mission involves analyzing existing mainframe domains, data models, functions, processes, and queries, translating them into a modern, future-oriented ICT environment. Special attention will be given to data migration, semantic modeling, ontologies, and the exploitation of central logging of queries.

Responsibilities:

• The consultant analyzes existing mainframe applications, data structures, data flows, and functional processes.
• Describes business logic, data definitions, and dependencies, translating these into new functional processes, data models, integration concepts, and ontologies.
• Collaborates on the analysis of central logging of data queries, exploitation and analysis tools, and supports the migration from legacy environments to a modern architecture.
• Coordinates with business users, architects, developers, database administrators, security specialists, and project managers, and facilitates workshops with domain experts.

Work Environment:

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) with a requirement to be present in the office at least twice a week, depending on tasks and in consultation with the team. Remote work is allowed within Belgium. The team is multidisciplinary, consisting of a mix of internal and external staff.
