Jefferson Health is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Hospitalist Physician to join our Hospital Medicine team at Washington Township Hospital. The Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality clinical outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.
This part-time opportunity offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for a physician seeking to maintain an active inpatient clinical practice while working a reduced schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of hospitalized patients.
- Participate in patient admissions, daily rounds, and discharges to ensure continuity and coordination of care.
- Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies, including Rapid Response Team activations and Code Blue situations.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation using the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support the development of clinical protocols and best practices.
- Mentor and supervise medical students, residents, or advanced practice providers, as applicable.
- Support the Hospital Medicine team in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Valid New Jersey medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Active DEA and CDS registrations.
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program with hospital-based clinical experience.
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
