Description
A leading organisation is seeking a Space Planner & Interior Designer to join its team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in the strategic planning and design of real estate nationally, combining creative design expertise with strong project management and space-planning capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop space projections, growth plans, blocking and stacking solutions across allocated portfolios.
- Interpret client briefs and deliver conceptual layouts, interior designs, 3D Revit models and presentations.
- Produce detailed design and working drawings, including finishes, shopfitting and demolition plans.
- Source and specify furniture, materials and products, while managing supplier and contractor relationships.
- Support projects from concept through to site meetings, implementation, snagging and post-project reviews.
- Manage workplace moves, including costing, planning, contractor coordination, site inspections and move documentation.
- Manage project costs, financial processes, job cards, orders, invoices and project documentation.
- Coordinate and delegate workloads within the space planning team, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Support change management, ergonomic assessments, furniture relocations, signage and branding projects.
- Maintain live drawings, workstation reports and relevant space-planning records.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant qualification in Interior Design and Space Planning.
- At least 5 years' experience in space planning.
- At least 3 years' experience in interior design.
- At least 2 years' experience in project management.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent design, space-planning, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects, contractors and priorities while maintaining high-quality outputs.
- Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
