Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time College Campus Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Complete required patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
