We are seeking an experienced MEP Site Engineer to support the supervision and coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and cooling system installations for a major data center project. The role will monitor site works for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards while supporting inspections, testing, commissioning, and interface coordination across project teams.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Construction Manager, contractors, consultants, commissioning teams, and other disciplines to ensure MEP works are completed safely, correctly, and in line with project requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor MEP installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable standards.

Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship, installation quality, and construction progress.

Witness inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for assigned MEP systems.

Review installation readiness and coordinate inspection requests with QA/QC teams.

Coordinate interfaces between MEP, CSA, commissioning, vendors, and contractor teams.

Monitor contractor progress, manpower, material availability, and work sequencing.

Identify installation deficiencies, clashes, incomplete works, and technical issues.

Report deficiencies, construction risks, and unresolved issues to the Senior Construction Manager.

Support resolution of technical queries, site issues, and coordination conflicts.

Review relevant shop drawings, technical submittals, method statements, and installation documentation.

Verify that installed systems align with approved design intent and project requirements.

Support progress measurement and preparation of site status reports.

Coordinate with contractors and vendors to close punch list items and outstanding works.

Support system testing, energization, functional testing, and commissioning activities.

Ensure required inspection records, test results, and site documentation are properly maintained.

Participate in site coordination, technical, and construction progress meetings.

Support final system turnover, handover, and closeout documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Relevant professional registration or certification.

Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience.

Minimum 8 years of relevant MEP construction or site engineering experience.

Minimum 6 years of experience on similar large-scale projects.

Strong experience in MEP installation and construction supervision.

Experience with cooling systems, electrical distribution, mechanical systems, plumbing, controls, or other mission-critical MEP infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of approved drawings, technical specifications, inspection requirements, and construction standards.

Experience witnessing inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.

Strong coordination skills across MEP, CSA, commissioning, QA/QC, and contractor teams.

Ability to identify construction deficiencies and communicate corrective requirements clearly.

Strong technical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration.
-
Experience on hyperscale data center or mission-critical projects.

Strong experience with data center cooling systems and critical MEP infrastructure.

Experience on industrial construction or complex infrastructure projects.

Familiarity with commissioning and integrated systems testing.

Experience working in KSA or the wider GCC region.

Familiarity with electronic inspection, reporting, and document management systems.
