What You’ll Do Day-To-Day

  • Develops, maintains current project schedules, schedule status and schedule analysis with appropriate software.  
  • Develops or assists in developing project work breakdown structure for projects to meet scheduling and cost tracking requirements.  
  • Provides critical path analysis and creates 'what if' scenarios; evaluates impact of changes to critical path.  
  • Identifies and ensures adherence to required project resources (staff, materials, equipment, etc.).  
  • Coordinates with IS on implementation, updating and enhancement to scheduling software tools.  
  • Participates on project teams providing valued project data and analysis; leads project schedule status meetings.
  • Provides scheduling training, coaching and leadership to project staff, as needed.  
  • Develops and analyzes project metrics; generates accurate, timely reports and schedules for management.  
  • Recommends and develops scheduling process improvements.  
  • Typically directs the activities of less experienced staff in a related capacity.

Schedule Leadership & Ownership

 

Lead and manage the entire planning function for the project, serving as the primary point of contact for all schedule-related topics.Develop, maintain, and update the  Schedule  covering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and project close‑out.Ensure schedule logic, dependencies, and constraints are clearly defined and consistently applied.Implement robust critical path analysis, float evaluation, and scenario modelling to support project decision‑making. Guarantee compliance with corporate scheduling standards, methodologies, and tools.

 

Team Management

 

Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of schedulers assigned to different project workstreams.Coordinate workload distribution, ensure consistency of scheduling practices, and support skill development within the team.Review and approve schedule updates produced by junior schedulers, ensuring alignment with the master plan.Promote continuous improvement, best practices, and methodological rigor within the scheduling function.

 

Coordination & Stakeholder Communication

 

Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Quality, and Finance to ensure accurate and timely schedule input.Facilitate cross‑functional planning meetings and schedule coordination workshops.Present schedule status, plans during project reviews and steering committees.Act as the interface with customers, partners, and key suppliers for schedule negotiations or alignment activities.

 

Analysis & Reporting

 

Perform periodic schedule health checks, integrity verification, and schedule risk analysis.Identify opportunities, deviations, and risks and propose recovery plans or optimizations.Generate high‑quality reports, dashboards, milestones tracking sheets, variance analysis, and performance indicators for project leadership.Support Earned Value Management (EVM) activities by ensuring accurate integration between schedule and cost data.

 

Tools & Methods

 

Ensure proper use of scheduling software ( Primavera P6, ), templates, and compliance with Framatome process.Establish and maintain schedule baselines and lead baseline change control processes.Drive consistency across all sub‑schedules and guarantee configuration management of versions and updates.

 

Strategic Contribution

 

Provide proactive insights to help anticipate issues in procurement, manufacturing, or construction sequences.Contribute to project strategy by modelling alternatives, identifying constraints, and proposing optimization paths.Support claims management by preparing documented schedule evidence and time impact analyses.

 

Skills & Qualifications

 

Minimum 8 years of experience in project scheduling in large industrial, EPC, nuclear, energy, or infrastructure projects.Strong expertise with Primavera P6 (mandatory) and advanced planning methodologies.Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of schedulers.Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure on large, complex projects.Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to challenge stakeholders constructively.Experience in integrated project management environments and Earned Value Management is a plus.Ability to guide strategic decisions through proactive planning insights.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Expert understanding of planning and scheduling concepts.  
  • Comprehension of nuclear power plant systems, components and interrelated activities.  
  • Excellent communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.  
  • Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.  
  • Ability to adjust schedules based on changing priorities.  
  • Awareness of internal and external stakeholders to ensure complete work package inputs and definition.  
  • Experience supporting large and complex projects.

Total Rewards Package         

  • Salary: $109,000 - $148,000, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
