Ops Group Description:
The Institutional Client Reporting Team is responsible for the production of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc accounting and investment reports for institutional clients. These reports cover the full range of the firm’s investment capabilities, including Fixed Income, Equity, Index / Enhanced, as well as Alternative Investments, Blend, Multi-Asset strategies, with an expanding range of derivative content.
There are extensive interactions and exposure to many functions of the AB business, notably Client Relationship Management, the Portfolio Management Team, Global Product Development team along with Operations and Information Technology.
In addition to the production support, the team also works on projects related to new report development and automation.

We are seeking a Vice President, Head of Core Client Reporting, AB India, to lead the Core Client Reporting team within the Institutional Investment Management Operations Team located in Pune, India. This role will provide strategic, operational, and people leadership for a critical reporting function that supports institutional client outcomes, strengthens control discipline, and enables scalable delivery across global stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to operate as a senior leader who executes against functional priorities, drives commercial and client-focused impact, develops talent, influences reporting strategy, and reinforces AB’s inclusive culture. Describe the role:
The Head of Core Client Reporting is a senior leadership role responsible for the day-to-day and strategic management of AB India’s Core Client Reporting function. The role requires strong knowledge of institutional client reporting, investment operations, data governance, performance and portfolio reporting concepts, risk management, and operational controls. The leader will oversee multiple reporting workstreams, manage escalations, partner with global stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across process, technology, training, quality assurance, and operating model design.
Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:
This role supports global Institutional Client Reporting and related Investment Management Operations functions, including report production, data validation, exception management, controls, workflow oversight, stakeholder service, and reporting platform improvement. The role will partner closely with onshore and offshore reporting teams, portfolio management support functions, client service, technology, data teams, compliance, risk, and other operations partners to ensure a consistent, scalable, and controlled client reporting environment.
The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the AB Core Client Reporting team, including oversight of daily, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting deliverables, quality controls, issue resolution, and service-level performance.
- Become Subject Matter Expert in Client Reporting and have ability to make real time and time critical decisions on reporting issues.
- Execute against agreed functional priorities and hold team members accountable for timely, accurate, and controlled delivery of client reporting outputs.
- Oversee strategic direction for reporting production, workflow management, exception handling, and control routines to ensure client satisfaction and operational resiliency.
- Represent Client Reporting/Global Operations in setting agenda for conversion of existing functionality from internal systems over to new SimCorp driven processes.
- Partner with global reporting leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to identify market practices, address reporting gaps, manage escalations, and implement scalable reporting solutions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on standardization, automation, data quality, process simplification, control strengthening, and reduction of operational risk.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients, including client service, portfolio management support, technology, compliance, risk, and global operations partners.
- Chair meetings of the Global Client Reporting Steering Committee to prioritize enhancements, changes, and updates to the reports and infrastructure.
- Provide leadership oversight for escalated reporting issues, ensuring appropriate root-cause analysis, remediation, stakeholder communication, and prevention of recurrence.
- Establish and maintain documentation, procedure guides, training materials, quality-control frameworks, and evidence-based oversight routines for the team.
- Recruit, manage, motivate, coach, and develop staff to maximize individual contributions, professional growth, collaboration, and effective teamwork.
- Set leadership direction for functional training, cross-training, succession planning, and knowledge management across Core Client Reporting.
- Actively identify opportunities to control or reduce firm costs through improved operating model design, capacity management, automation, and efficient use of resources.
- Influence reporting strategy by bringing forward innovative ideas, anticipating downstream impacts, and aligning team priorities with broader SBU and firm objectives.

Qualifications, Experience, Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; business, finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline preferred.
- Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience in investment operations, institutional client reporting, performance reporting, portfolio reporting, data operations, or a related financial services function.
- Demonstrated people management experience, ideally including leadership of multiple workstreams or teams in a global operating model.
- Strong understanding of institutional client reporting lifecycles, data dependencies, quality-control routines, operational risk, and service-level management.
- Experience leading process improvement, automation, workflow redesign, or operating model initiatives.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships across regions, functions, and seniority levels.
- Exposure to investment data, portfolio holdings, transactions, performance, benchmarks, client deliverables, or related reporting concepts preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL or data-querying tools preferred, with the ability to partner effectively with technology and data teams to investigate data issues, improve reporting controls, and support scalable reporting solutions.
