Position Summary

The facility is seeking a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join its growing women’s health team in Bronx, New York. This is a full-time opportunity focused on providing comprehensive, patient-centered women’s healthcare services in an outpatient clinical setting.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide preventive, gynecologic, and reproductive healthcare while working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other clinical support staff.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive women’s health assessments, including medical and gynecologic histories and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic women’s health conditions.
• Provide routine gynecologic and preventive healthcare services.
• Perform annual women’s health examinations and age-appropriate screenings.
• Provide contraceptive counseling and reproductive health services.
• Evaluate and manage common gynecologic conditions, including menstrual disorders, vaginal infections, and menopausal concerns.
• Order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and screenings.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Prescribe medications and provide medication management in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Provide patient education regarding preventive health, reproductive health, contraception, and disease management.
• Counsel patients on healthy lifestyle choices and preventive healthcare.
• Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, laboratories, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
• Participate in quality improvement, care coordination, and population health initiatives.
• Promote a compassionate, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered approach to women’s healthcare.

Qualifications

Education

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Graduate-level education with a focus in Women’s Health, Family Practice, or a related specialty.

Certification

• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner through NCC, ANCC, AANP, or another nationally recognized certifying organization, as applicable.
• Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) certification preferred.

Licensure

• Active or eligible Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.

Experience

• Experience in women’s health, gynecology, reproductive health, or outpatient primary care preferred.
• Experience providing preventive and comprehensive healthcare to women across different age groups preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
• New graduates with strong clinical training in women’s health may be considered.
