Roofer
When you’re at one of our theme parks, the fun never ends! And our Roofers are a big reason why. If you’re self-motivated and have the knowledge and skill to keep our park looking sharp – get on board!
What you get to do:
As a Roofer you’ll roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and perform all commercial painting needs in order to provide a once in a lifetime memory for guests and team members alike. We’re looking to you to make sure our rides are good to go! You will:
Perform all functions of general roofing/carpentry work for in-park builds, repairs, installations, providing a safe environment for guests and employees.
Select proper materials for jobs
Dependable performance in terms of attendance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements
Perform other miscellaneous duties as required
What it takes to succeed:
At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
At least three years of onsite experience in the roofing trade or in the carpentry field
Cabinet making experience; i.e. cabinet building and framing; fabrications of countertops, and more)
Experience with solid surface and laminate counter top fabrication
Experience in roof repairs
Experience in drywall installation and repair
Experienced in all phases of concrete work
Able to work from blueprints or in-depth sketches
Able to operate and maintain power and hand tools and other equipment in good safe condition
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic mathematical skills
Comfortable working at heights up to 100ft
Comfortable building and working on scaffolding up to 24ft
Able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance
Able to climb and work off of ladders
Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations
Comfortable working around water
Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes
Able to train on and properly use protective gear
Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor
Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours including opening and closing shifts, weekends and holidays.
