Global Reliability SME, Mechanical Assets
Location Poland, Wrocław.
About the Role
As a Global Reliability SME, Mechanical Assets, you will act as the central technical expert for mechanical asset reliability, supporting cement plants and heavy industry operations worldwide. You will play a key role in the deployment and continuous improvement of predictive maintenance solutions, including C3.ai Reliability, DALOG, Machine Sentry, and other asset health platforms.
This position combines deep mechanical reliability expertise with data-driven decision-making to improve equipment availability, reduce unplanned downtime, and support operational performance.
Your Responsibilities
Mechanical Reliability Expertise
- Define and validate mechanical asset scope for predictive maintenance programs.
- Identify and assess failure modes of critical equipment such as mills, kilns, crushers, conveyors, coolers, fans, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, and other rotating equipment.
- Support RCM, FMEA, criticality assessments, root cause analyses, and bad actor reviews.
- Translate equipment failure mechanisms into monitoring requirements and maintenance actions.
Predictive Maintenance & Asset Health Management
- Support onboarding of assets into predictive maintenance and asset performance management platforms.
- Validate asset structures, sensor mappings, equipment templates, and operating context.
- Collaborate with condition monitoring specialists and vibration analysts to confirm failure patterns and recommendations.
Plant Support & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze predictive maintenance alerts and transform them into actionable maintenance recommendations.
- Support plant teams in linking reliability insights to maintenance planning and execution processes.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities and post-failure learning initiatives.
Knowledge Sharing & Standardization
- Develop and maintain global asset reliability standards, templates, and playbooks.
- Share best practices across regions and operational sites.
- Contribute to the continuous development of Maintenance Excellence standards and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering roles within cement, aggregates, mining, power generation, or similar heavy industries.
- Strong understanding of mechanical equipment reliability and maintenance practices.
- Experience with preventive, condition-based, or predictive maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, lubrication, and thermography.
- Ability to interpret operational, sensor, historian, and time-series data.
- Fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C3.ai Reliability, DALOG, Machine Sentry, or other predictive maintenance solutions.
- Reliability certifications such as CMRP or ISO 18436 Vibration Analysis.
- Experience with SAP PM or other CMMS platforms.
- Experience supporting multi-site deployments or maintenance transformation programs.
