ERM, the world's largest pure-play sustainability consultancy, is looking for a Junior Consultant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to join our team in Belgium. 

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will support clients across a wide range of industries in understanding risks, improving compliance, enhancing operational performance, and achieving their sustainability ambitions. From day one, you will work alongside experienced consultants, receive hands-on coaching, and contribute to projects that create real environmental and social impact.

We have offices in Antwerp and Brussels and offer a flexible hybrid working scheme.

What will you do: 

As a Junior Consultant, you will support a variety of EHS and sustainability projects, including: 

• Assessing environmental, health and safety performance at industrial and commercial facilities. 

• Participating in EHS compliance audits and site assessments. 

• Supporting due diligence projects for mergers, acquisitions and investments. 

• Identifying risks, opportunities and improvement actions for our clients. 

• Preparing clear, high-quality reports and presentations. 

• Helping clients implement practical solutions to improve EHS performance. 

• Contributing to projects focused on sustainability, decarbonization, resource efficiency and responsible business practices. 

• Collaborating with ERM experts across Europe and our global network. 

• As you grow in the role, you will increasingly take ownership of project tasks, build client relationships and develop your consulting skills. 

What we're looking for: 

We are looking for curious, motivated professionals who enjoy solving complex challenges and making a positive impact. 

You bring: 

• A Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Industrial Safety, Sustainability, or a related field. 

• 1-4 years of relevant experience (graduates are encouraged to apply). 

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 

• Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and high-quality reports. 

• A proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn quickly in a dynamic consulting environment. 

• The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality standards. 

• A client-oriented approach and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with colleagues and clients. 

• The confidence to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. 

• Willingness to travel to client sites across Belgium and occasionally abroad. A driver's licence will be required.

• Fluency in Dutch (native or equivalent proficiency) and excellent spoken and written English. 

It would be a plus if you have: 

• Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations. 

• Experience through internships, student projects, or a first professional role in EHS, sustainability, or industry. 

• Exposure to industrial facilities, manufacturing environments, or operational site work. 

• Experience working directly with stakeholders, clients, or project teams.
