We are committed to rigorous science, practical solutions, and collaborative work across a wide range of geologic and environmental challenges.Position SummaryPangea Geoscience LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Scientist/Geologist to support geologic, environmental, and scientific investigations. This role involves fieldwork, data collection and analysis, technical reporting, and collaboration with project managers and senior scientists. The ideal candidate is scientifically curious, technically capable, and eager to grow within a consulting environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct field investigations including geologic mapping, soil and rock sampling, groundwater monitoring, and site assessmentsCollect, analyze, and interpret geologic, hydrogeologic, and environmental dataPrepare technical reports, figures, maps, and data summariesAssist with environmental assessments, site characterization, and remediation projectsMaintain accurate field notes, databases, and project documentationSupport project planning, scheduling, and coordinationEnsure compliance with applicable regulations, safety protocols, and quality standardsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate findings clearlyRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or a related fieldStrong understanding of geologic principles and field methodsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness and ability to perform fieldwork in varying conditionsValid driver’s licensePreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related disciplineExperience with environmental consulting or applied geoscience projectsFamiliarity with GIS, geological modeling software, or data management toolsExperience preparing technical reports for regulatory or client reviewProfessional licensure or progress toward licensure (e.g., GIT)Physical & Field RequirementsAbility to lift and carry field equipmentAbility to work outdoors in variable weather and terrainAbility to travel to project sites as neededWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation based on experienceOpportunities for professional growth and mentorshipExposure to diverse geoscience projectsCollaborative and science-driven work environment
