Are you passionate about aquatics? Do you enjoy teaching others swimming skills and techniques, as well as pool safety? If so, please consider applying to become a swim instructor and joining our Aquatics Team at the Tri-Community Family Branch YMCA!
Essential Functions:
- Teach swimming lessons to diverse groups of people including adult members, youth, children families and those with diverse abilities.
- Create a welcoming and safe pool environment for all.
- Use appropriate equipment when necessary and report any issues with equipment to the Aquatics Director or facility personnel.
- File any reports or maintain any necessary documentation about progress for program participants.
- Attend staff trainings/meetings and maintain relevant certification related to the position.
- Other duties as necessary as assigned by the Aquatic Director/Coordinator.
Qualifications:
- Hold current Water Safety Instruction certification or be willing to become certified
- One year of experience teaching swim lessons preferred
- Must be at least 16 years old
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: Hours may vary. Please let us know your availability!
Pay: $15.00/hour base rate and $20.00/hr for Private Lessons. Plus access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
