Therapist - Dual Diagnosis

Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health field required. Licensure or working toward licensure preferred.
Location: Hilton Head Island, SC

A dual-diagnosis residential treatment center is hiring a Primary Therapist to support clients through substance use and mental health treatment in a structured setting.

This role focuses on maintaining a consistent caseload, running groups, and providing individual support throughout each client’s stay. The program follows a trauma-informed, whole-person approach with an emphasis on connection, routine, and individualized care.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions
• Complete assessments and develop treatment plans with clear goals
• Maintain a consistent caseload and track client progress
• Document all sessions, plans, and updates in the EMR
• Work closely with case management on discharge planning
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing care coordination
• Provide support during crisis situations as needed
• Take part in on-call rotation and family programming

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field required
• Working toward licensure or certification preferred
• Experience in substance use or mental health treatment preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload and maintain documentation standards
• Comfortable working in a residential setting

This position supports detox and residential services in a small, team-based environment with a focus on consistent care and client engagement.

Compensation: $65,000 - $72,000
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday schedule, standard hours
