Event Specialist
The Event Specialist supports the planning and execution of consumer-facing events, festivals, broadcast productions, and activations across the Disneyland Resort. Working as part of the Event Planning, Operations & Services (EPOS) team, this role partners with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, on-brand experiences that support business objectives and create meaningful guest engagement.
Responsibilities
- Provide project management support across assigned events and productions, from planning through execution and close‑out.
- Coordinate a wide range of logistical elements, including staffing plans, schedules, meetings, notes/recaps, creative and collateral orders, contracts, room blocks, ticket media, amenities, invoicing, and partner communications.
- Lead assigned workstreams or components of projects while ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Serve as a key point of contact between the events team and Resort partners.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, documentation, and communications in alignment with Resort standards and processes.
- Collaborate with leaders and partners across the organization to operationalize event concepts and resolve logistical challenges.
- Provide project-based direction to front-line and support cast during event execution, with a focus on teamwork and clear communication.
- Support post-event reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain strong working relationships with partners across the Resort to support seamless event delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Resourceful, solutions-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, partners, and leaders at various levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Keynote.
- Understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, the Disneyland Resort environment and operating practices.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays during event periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in events, production, project management, or Resort/entertainment operations.
- Familiarity with event elements that support integrated guest experiences.
- Exposure to executive, media, or high-profile guest-facing events.
Work Environment
- This position requires flexibility to support events during non-traditional hours.
- Role is based at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA.
