The firm works with a broad range of SME and mid-market businesses, including clients with turnovers ranging from £10m through to £120m, offering excellent exposure and long-term progression opportunities within a supportive and technically strong environment.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant who can manage client relationships, support junior team members, and play an active role within the wider accounts and audit team.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant job include:

• Preparing and reviewing year end accounts for a varied client portfolio
• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Supporting clients with day to day accounting and advisory queries
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
• Assisting with audit assignments where required
• Reviewing work prepared by junior team members
• Supporting and mentoring trainees and junior staff
• Working closely with Managers and Directors on client delivery
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and to agreed deadlines

Requirements of the Senior Accountant job include:

• Previous experience working within UK accountancy practice
• ACA / ACCA qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience considered
• Strong experience preparing accounts and tax work
• Audit exposure beneficial but not essential
• Good technical grounding and structured training background preferred
• Confident managing client relationships professionally
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Stable career history and realistic commuting expectations
