Senior Group Manager – ERP CoE Quality

Airbus is looking for an inspirational Senior Group Manager – ERP CoE Quality to join our Digital Center in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end Quality Management related topics within the ERP CoE India  ecosystem, ensuring application design, build, and run delivery operations seamlessly align. As a champion for the ERP Transformation within the Quality Management domain, you will ensure that process quality is "built-in" across all Airbus domains, from manufacturing to customer services, while steering the culture toward innovation, modern validation frameworks, and advanced data analytics.

Primary Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Airbus Values: Manage and lead the Quality India PSL Group in strict alignment with Airbus Leadership values (We Care, We Share, We Protect, We Innovate). Foster an inclusive, high-performance, and "Quality First" culture.

• ERP Transformation Advocacy: Actively promote, explain, and support the overarching ERP Transformation roadmap across the Quality Management domain, translating complex processes into clear business value.

• Executive Stakeholder Management: Navigate complex corporate matrix structures and act as a trusted advisor to VP/SVP level leaders within the Quality Management domain, securing alignment on quality gates and strategic release roadmaps.

• End-to-End Application Accountability: Stand fully accountable for the validation and deployment stability of all applications within the ERP India Quality portfolio.

• Orchestrate Multi-Technical Teams: Lead diverse internal core teams alongside partner factories to manage the end-to-end process validation lifecycle, from initial testing to User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• "Shift-Left" & Validation Strategy: Drive the evolution of business process validation. Identify systematic opportunities for "Shift-Left" methodologies, ensuring process and system defects are caught during design rather than production.

• Continuous Release Management: Partner closely with the Platform Leader to guarantee a seamless, highly automated release pipeline.

• Prepare the future: Foster a product culture centered on the democratization of data and AI capabilities 

• Data Sovereignty, Compliance & Governance: Oversee Test Data Management (TDM) to ensure complete adherence to strict Export Control and Security regulations (especially regarding sensitive design data).

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary point of contact for DEL/DEM/DEF India leaders to tightly synchronize quality gates with engineering and manufacturing roadmaps.

• Talent Coaching & Mentorship: Mentor and upscale the quality team, actively guiding team members to evolve into advanced validation engineers and process automation experts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Graduate / Post Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: 15+ years of rich experience in the ERP domain, with a dedicated focus on Quality Management (QM), business process validation, and leadership in large-scale enterprise environments.

Expert Level (Must Have):

• SAP S/4HANA Transformation & Core Knowledge: Experience managing large-scale testing and validation governance for S/4HANA migrations. Deep functional understanding of SAP core modules: Quality Management (QM), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP).

• Validation Orchestration & Governance: Proven capability in designing enterprise-wide business process validation frameworks and quality governance strategies.

• Automation Frameworks: Knowledge and experience with tools like Tricentis Tosca

• Strategic Partner & Vendor Management: Demonstrated success managing "Make/Buy" models, driving offshore partner factories to high-efficiency delivery metrics.

• Quality Practices: Background in structured testing methodologies and Agile-at-scale frameworks (SAFe).

Good to Have:

• Palantir Experience: Prior exposure or experience leveraging Palantir for data integration, data-driven decision making, or analytics is highly advantageous.

• Aerospace Domain Knowledge: Good grasp of aviation Quality Certification, compliance standards, and strict traceability protocols.

• Professional Certifications: Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), ISTQB, or SAFe Agilist / Product Owner certification.
