Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Construction Warehouse Coordinator I to support construction
projects by managing warehouse operations, material receiving, inventory control, and storage activities. The ideal candidate will ensure that project materials are received, inspected, documented, maintained, and stored according to project requirements while coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the construction warehouse and oversee the storage of project materials.
· Coordinate the receipt of construction materials by working closely with buyers, invoice
· reconciliers, project coordinators, suppliers, and vendors.
· Inspect all incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and ensure
· inspection results are properly documented.
· Maintain accurate receiving records and provide documentation to invoice reconciliers
· for verification and processing.
· Coordinate required preventative maintenance activities with project leads and
· coordinators to ensure materials remain in acceptable condition prior to installation.
· Ensure all materials are stored according to manufacturer specifications and project
· storage requirements until installation.
· Maintain warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and material traceability.
· Assist with material tracking, inventory reconciliation, and reporting.
· Support project teams by ensuring timely availability of materials for construction
· activities.
· Follow company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
· environment.
· Communicate effectively with project personnel, suppliers, and other stakeholders
· regarding material status and inventory.
Required Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· 0–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, construction
· support, logistics, or material coordination.
· Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
· Experience working in a construction or industrial environment is preferred but not
· required.
Required Skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including:
· Microsoft Excel
· Microsoft Word
· Microsoft PowerPoint
· Strong organizational and documentation skills.
· Ability to gather, input, modify, consolidate, and distribute project documentation.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams,
· vendors, and suppliers.
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a collaborative
· team.
· Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with construction material receiving or warehouse management.
· Knowledge of inventory tracking systems or material management software.
· Familiarity with construction project workflows and material handling procedures.
· Experience supporting engineering, procurement, or construction projects.
Work Environment
· Warehouse and construction project environment.
· Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and moving construction materials.
· May require occasional work outdoors or at construction sites.
· Must follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable.
