Come join Intel IT as a Senior Software Development Engineer and help build software solutions that enable Intel's global lab and fab operations. We are looking for a motivated, hands-on technical leader with strong software engineering expertise, customer orientation, and a passion for delivering scalable, high-quality solutions. You will be part of a vibrant, cross-site team that provides full-stack software development support to meet Intel's dynamic business needs globally. In this role, you will partner closely with lab and fab stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver customized solutions that improve operational efficiency, data visibility, and business outcomes. This position offers strong opportunities to grow within IT and collaborate across Intel business groups.

• Lead the design, development, upgrade, and integration of standalone and web-based applications across multiple systems, tools, and enterprise data sources.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers, promoting strong engineering practices, maintainable architecture, and high-quality deliverables.

• Partner with software engineers, systems engineers, network engineers, database administrators, monitoring teams, and information security teams to deliver secure, reliable, and production-ready capabilities.

• Engage directly with internal lab and fab customers to understand requirements, facilitate technical discussions, align expectations, and drive solution sign-off.

• Apply modern software engineering practices, including Agile delivery, code quality, automation, continuous improvement, and effective release management.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies, to improve design quality, development efficiency, and engineering productivity.

• Operate independently with strong ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to drive complex technical work from concept through delivery.

• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, technical influence, and collaboration across cross-functional and cross-site teams.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership through both written and verbal channels.

Qualifications:

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, with more than 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience using modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or equivalent technologies.

• 5+ years of experience delivering software solutions using Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, retrospectives, and continuous improvement practices.

• Proven experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting production-quality software applications.

• Strong understanding of full-stack application development, system integration, database interaction, and secure software development practices.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in a fast-paced technical environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in project leadership, technical leadership, or solution ownership for complex software initiatives.

• Experience mentoring developers, influencing technical direction, and driving adoption of engineering best practices.

• Experience working with manufacturing, lab, fab, engineering, or enterprise operations environments is an advantage.

• Knowledge of cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, API integration, data analytics, observability, or AI-assisted software development is a plus.

• Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions and communicate value clearly to stakeholders at different levels.

• Candidates with Program Manager or Business Analyst experience will have an added advantage.
