Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to children, adolescents, and adults in a therapeutic environment while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery and treatment goals.

Essential Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to behavioral health patients.
- Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Monitor patient progress and modify interventions as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily nursing notes.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other clinical staff to implement treatment plans and measurable goals.
Leadership & Patient Advocacy
- Foster a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes healing and protects patient rights.
- Establish professional and supportive relationships with patients, families, and team members.
- Participate actively in treatment team meetings and care coordination efforts.
- Serve as a mentor and resource to fellow nursing staff.
- Advocate for patient needs while maintaining the highest standards of care and safety.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to practice under a compact license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Preferred
- Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or pediatric nursing.
- Previous inpatient psychiatric care experience.
- Knowledge of mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Day Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
- Night Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
