The role
The Business Process Expert, Purchase to Pay, is responsible for driving process excellence, standardization, governance, and continuous improvement across the Purchase to Pay processes within the Global Business Services organisation. This role serves as the subject-matter expert for Purchase-to-Pay processes, with a strong focus on invoice processing, payment support, vendor query management, employee expense processing, travel policy compliance, process controls, system optimisation, and service delivery improvement.
What you'll be responsible for
Act as the business process expert for Purchase to Pay processes, with primary focus on Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense.
Define, document, and maintain global or regional process standards, operating procedures, work instructions, and process maps.
Provide process guidance to operations teams, stakeholders, and business users.
Ensure consistent application of standard processes across countries, business units, and service delivery teams.
Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
Support the design and maintenance of process governance frameworks
Ensure adherence to internal controls, approval matrices, delegation of authority, segregation of duties, and compliance requirements.
Support internal and external audits by providing process documentation, evidence, analysis, and remediation support.
Identify control gaps, process deviations, and operational risks, and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
Promote a strong culture of compliance, ownership, and process discipline within GBS operations.
We're looking for someone who
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Purchase to Pay, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Finance Operations, Shared Services, or Global Business Services.
Strong hands-on experience in AP processes such as invoice processing, PO and non-PO invoice handling, payment support, vendor queries, and exception management.
Experience in T&E processes including employee expense claims, travel policy compliance, corporate card administration, audit checks, and reimbursement processes.
Thinks end-to-end and takes ownership of results
Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation
