ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting for a fixed term, until March 2027, Event Coordinator – 150th Anniversary Test Match within our Events & Operations department, based in Melbourne. This is a great opportunity to support the planning, coordination and delivery of Cricket Australia’s VIP Experiences and Special Events program for the 150th Anniversary Test Match, contributing to the successful execution of this landmark event through effective organisation, stakeholder management and operational support.
Reporting to the 150th Anniversary Test Lead – VIP Experiences & Special Events, you’ll be responsible for:
Support delivery of the 150th Anniversary Test VIP Experiences, Special Events and Club 150 hospitality program
Coordinate event setup, catering, fit-out, activations, merchandise, collateral and signage
Manage guest travel, accommodation, transfers, seating plans, table allocations and attendee communications
Liaise with venues, hotels, caterers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to support smooth event delivery
Coordinate accreditation, RFID access and entry requirements for guests, staff, suppliers and contractors
Support event operations, including staff rooms, hospitality areas, run sheets, briefing documents, floor plans and event systems
Assist with casual staff recruitment, rostering, briefing and on-site management
Coordinate event content capture, including photographers, videographers, imagery and footage archiving
Support budgets, purchase orders, invoicing, reconciliations, reporting, health, safety and compliance requirements
Attend planning meetings, briefings and debriefs, while delivering exceptional guest, stakeholder and client experiences
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
2+ years’ experience in events, premium hospitality, sport, major events or a related field
Strong stakeholder, customer service and relationship-building skills
Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Positive, proactive and accountable team player who can work autonomously and stay calm under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with event management, project management or content creation platforms desirable
Understanding of cricket, venue operations or the broader Australian sporting landscape desirable
Able to travel and work outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
