Description
Life tastes better with ice cream
With 19.000 expert ice cream colleagues and iconic brands like Wall’s, Cornetto and Ben & Jerry’s, loved in 76 countries, we are the world’s largest Ice Cream company leading the industry.
We create iconic ice cream brands that are part of everyday life, bringing moments of joy to millions of people around the world. Everybody loves ice cream. And as the world’s biggest pure‑play ice cream company, we have the scale and ambition to make a real difference.
What truly sets us apart is how we work.
We move fast and keep things simple. We turn ideas into action, trust people to take ownership, and work as one team to win together with integrity. Our culture is high‑performance, collaborative and focused on getting things done.
We’re curious and ready for what’s next. We embrace digital, use data to make better decisions, and keep learning, including how AI can help us work smarter and serve consumers better.
The role
The Corporate Affairs & Sustainability team has a critical role to play in The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC) standalone journey – building trust with all of TMICC’s stakeholders through a compelling narrative and stories that bring our strategy and culture to life; brilliant channels that get the right news to the right person at the right time; excellent issue management and preparedness; a campaigning approach to communication working closely with our brands; and a focused, holistic ESG strategy that differentiates us with colleagues, customers and consumers. And while we’re corporate, we are proudly NOT corporate, and we take our work seriously, but we never take ourselves too seriously.
As a Community & Partnerships Manager you lead and embed TMICC’s community agenda, ensuring it is strategic, focused and delivers tangible impact for society, the business and our brands.
You own the development and delivery of community programmes, partnerships and investments, strengthening brand trust, supporting reputation and ensuring all activity is well governed, credible and aligned to business priorities.
What you'll be responsible for
Strategy & Leadership
Define and evolve TMICC’s community and partnerships strategy, aligned with business priorities, ESG, Corporate Affairs, HR and Marketing.
Provide senior-level advice and guidance to peers and leadership on community and social impact topics
Embed community impact across the business, ensuring it is integrated—not standalone – and use this to make the case for investment.
Ensure corporate activations (e.g. Pride) are de-risked and advise on appropriate community partners/components.
Delivery & Impact
Own end-to-end delivery of global/HQ community programmes, including partnerships.
Support the markets and brands to execute with freedom within a strategic framework so community activity ladders up into a clear, bigger impact but is locally relevant.
Ensure initiatives are focused, scalable and deliver measurable outcomes
Drive robust impact measurement and ensure activities translate into tangible results for communities and society
Make sure donations and partnerships are delivered in line with the law, that we have a policy on who we will and will not partner with, and ensure we maximise PR value.
Set a policy, framework and budget for how we support emergency relief efforts to natural disasters and war, in which markets, and with which partners.
Governance & Reporting
Own community reporting and ensure integrity and alignment with ESG disclosures
Identify and manage regulatory and reputational risks related to community activities
Ensure strong governance, transparency and consistency across all initiatives
Stakeholder & Partnership Management
Build and manage strategic relationships with relevant NGOs, charities and partners
Act as the primary point of contact for community partnerships globally
Represent TMICC externally on community and partnership topics where relevant
Employee & Customer Engagement
Drive colleague engagement in community programmes, strengthening participation and connection, working with HR as part of our EVP.
Partner with Marketing and Corporate Affairs to amplify impact in a credible and consistent way
Ensure all communication is clear, aligned and avoids over-claiming
Team Leadership
Build strong cross-functional relationships across ESG, Corporate Affairs,
Marketing, HR and the wider business.
We're looking for someone who
Minimum of 5 years’ experience, ideally within FMCG, brand-led businesses.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Strong understanding of community investment and social impact principles, NGO landscape and partnership models, impact measurement and evaluation
Experience of working in a consumer-facing business and with partnering with marketing to build partnerships and community programmes that are brand building
Familiarity with ESG and social reporting requirements (including CSRD/social standards), reputational risk management and issue sensitivity, ethical storytelling and responsible communications
Proven ability to set strategy and deliver programmes at scale
Solid understanding of governance, partnerships and impact measurement
Ability to operate with credibility at senior level and influence across a matrix organisation
