Position Summary

Responsible for aligning financial strategies with the operational goals of the organization, this position serves as the Center of Excellence (CoE) for Operations Finance. This role acts as a strategic business partner for both Operations Finance and Operations teams across the globe, providing financial oversight, analysis, and guidance to enhance operational efficiency and drive cost savings. The role combines deep financial expertise with a solid understanding of operational processes such as supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and procurement/sourcing. Key stakeholders include Operations, Operational Excellence, Procurement, IT, HR, and Real Estate.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Finance Capability & Standards

  • Create and evolve the Operations Finance capability across the globe.
  • Define and roll out standards, procedures, and reporting needed by the Operations Finance organization worldwide.
  • Define and roll out a common approach to key operational topics such as COR (Cost of Revenue) allocation and Productivity & Inflation measurement.
  • Guarantee consistency and quality of key operational metrics across markets (e.g., Productivity, Inflation).

Business Partnering, Insights & Benchmarks

  • Add value to COO/Operations teams by leading the generation of insights, analysis, and benchmarks.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide decision-making, acting as a liaison between finance and operations to ensure alignment and clear communication.
  • Benchmark COR and Inventory across markets to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Orchestrate Operations Finance teams across markets to drive efficiency.

COR & Inventory Performance

  • Understand COR drivers and performance, monitoring key performance indicators to track operational and working capital efficiency.
  • Analyze drivers behind COR and Inventory performance across markets to identify common trends and anticipate challenges.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring they provide actionable insights for operations.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Capital Allocation

  • Influence COR budgets worldwide.
  • Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes for COR, Inventory, and CapEx.
  • Align capital allocation and expenditure with operational priorities.

Measures of Success

  • Reduction in operational costs and inventory.
  • Improvement in gross margins and overall profitability.
  • Quantifiable savings achieved through finance-driven process optimization and inventory reduction.
  • Accuracy of forecasts for costs, CapEx, and Inventory.
  • Stand-up of Operations Finance teams, processes, and tools across the globe.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Maturity to deal with senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, capital budgeting, and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles that drive cost efficiency and process improvement.
  • Ability to translate financial data into strategic insights that align with operational goals and long-term business strategies.
  • Proactive ability to identify risks and opportunities within operational processes and address them.
