FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Oversee key general ledger areas and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in the system, ensuring compliance with accounting and reporting standards/law and internal policies. • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records and statutory financial information submitted to tax and regulatory authorities, including taking formal responsibility for correctness when required. • Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of accounting records and documentation (digital and physical). • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and close outputs for accuracy and completeness. • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and analysis. • Coordinate and/or actively cooperate in preparation of statutory financial statements. • Provide financial inputs for reporting. • Ensure timely and successful completion of financial audits. • Oversee tax compliance across indirect, withholding, and local taxes as needed. • Manage company's tax obligations in line with local legislation and classify expenses for tax purposes and serve as the point of contact for tax reporting, audits, and inspections as needed to ensure compliance. • Actively lead and drive the testing and validation of new system enhancements, and releases to ensure accurate financial processes, data integrity and process improvements. • Act as a contact point for HQ Finance team. • Collaborate with other teams to resolve process and system-related issues. • Maintain, develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. • Mentor less experienced colleagues. • Drive process improvements, projects and goals. • Act as a backup support for other accounting tasks as needed. • Cooperate with colleagues and external process participants to resolve assigned tasks. • Plan and coordinate the work of colleagues in accordance with superior's instructions, be responsible for the performance of the tasks entrusted to it in accordance with established procedures and processes and prioritize tasks of colleagues in order to meet established objectives and achieve required results. • Perform conceptual, systemic, creative and methodical activities. • Carry out other work according to the instructions of a managing employee in accordance with the activity of the department and the company. REQUIREMENTS Education: • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration • Professional certification (CPA, dipIFR, ACCA) is highly desirable Experience: • 7 years of experience in accounting • Big 4 experience or experience in multinational or complex organizational environments is an advantage • 12 months on the job training Knowledge: • Advanced knowledge of local GAAP • IFRS knowledge desirable • Expertise in financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g. NetSuite) • Advanced Excel and data analytics skills • Prepares and delivers financial and analytical reports to senior leadership • Organizational and time-management skills • Analytical thinking and ability to work under pressure • Detail-oriented • Independence and proactive approach Language: • English: Upper Intermediate (B2) • Local language: fluent Communication: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels Managerial skills: • N/A Personal characteristics: • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact positively and work effectively with others. • Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. • Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. • Service Orientation: Commitment to providing assistance and support to others. • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and information to derive insights and make informed decisions.Benefits
