What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with post instructions and location protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, daily activities, and/or maintenance or policy concerns, and relay important information to supervisors and appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
