Role Overview
The Logistics & Warehouse Planning Supervisor / Asst. Manager is responsible for planning and optimizing the distribution, allocation, and inventory movement of products across warehouses and branch locations to ensure timely availability and efficient stock utilization. The role oversees inventory planning, warehouse capacity, stock transfers, supplier allocations, and delivery scheduling while maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting overall supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in logistics planning, inventory allocation, or distribution within the retail or distribution industry, preferably experienced in managing multi-sites or warehouses.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics planning.
- Experience in inventory allocation, stock replenishment, and inter-warehouse or branch transfers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, and supply chain teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the allocation and distribution of inventory across warehouses and branch locations to ensure product availability and optimal stock levels.
- Monitor warehouse and branch capacities and recommend inventory adjustments to maximize storage efficiency.
- Establish and maintain inventory parameters for fast-moving, slow-moving, aging, and returned or repossessed inventory.
- Monitor inventory aging and develop action plans to improve inventory turnover and minimize excess or obsolete stock.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute inventory transfers between warehouses and branches based on operational requirements and demand.
- Coordinate supplier allocations and ensure timely distribution of incoming inventory to designated locations.
- Develop and manage delivery schedules to support efficient product movement and timely branch replenishment.
- Monitor the dispatch and distribution of promotional items, accessories, and in-house spare parts to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Prepare inventory, allocation, and logistics planning reports to support operational decision-making and continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, sales, and operations teams to improve inventory planning, distribution efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
