CLINICAL ANALYTICS
General Summary/Responsibilities:
The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for providing support, facilitation, and analysis to Quality Innovation, and clinical performance and operational improvement teams. Responsible for project management of new or complex projects within Clinical Analytics. Performs complex data analysis and report writing. Uses methodologies and tools for analyzing and presenting or facilitating clinical data to multidisciplinary teams across the system. Primary responsibility for the support of Quality Innovate teams across the system chartered to reduce variation and improve quality. The Senior Data Analyst will use and support with a high level of expertise database applications and analytical tools, evaluate data quality, produce reports and maintain a working knowledge of most if not all the following: Midas+, Statit PPR, Statit piMD, Care Discovery, Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), American College of Cardiology (ACC), National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), and National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), and CMS and Joint Commission guidelines. The Senior Data Analyst will research new data sources and analytical tools and develop awareness of and familiarity with issues and events effecting the organizations
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree
Additional requirements:
§ Type of degree: Nursing, Industrial Engineering, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Information Specialist or a related healthcare or data management field required
§ Area of study or major: Nursing, Industrial Engineering, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Information Management or a related healthcare or data management
§ Position specific testing requirement: Excel
Licensure/Certification/Registration
§ Current State of Ohio licensure as Registered Nurse, if applicable
Experience
Minimum Level of Experience Required: 7 - 10 years of job related experience
Prior job title or occupational experience: If Masters prepared, will accept 5-7 years of experience
Preferred experience: Experience working with improvement teams or physicians, implementing quality assurance and quality improvement activities. Knowledge and understanding of biostatistics, data analysis, and literature evaluation attained through formal education or training from above said degree or related training. Extensive experience working with spreadsheet applications, databases, and coding diagnoses and procedures for health care services.
