As Medical Operations Lead, Greater Gulf MCO within our General Medicines Medical team, you'll lead the execution of MCO and country medical plans according to global medical brand and customer plans, driving operational excellence, budget planning, and launch excellence across the Greater Gulf. Main responsibilities
- Contribute to the operational implementation of Medical Plans within Greater Gulf countries, establishing and executing strategic objectives in collaboration with local medical teams across AT1D, Transplant (chronic GvHD), CMB, and Established Products.
- Lead the execution of Medical Launch Excellence within cross-functional launch excellence teams, monitoring and challenging project teams to drive execution in line with project strategy (scope, budget, time, quality).
- Drive periodic MCO medical performance reviews, overseeing budget planning and appropriate prioritization of medical projects and studies.
- Coordinate the definition of KPIs and performance metrics to ensure excellence in execution, efficient planning, and implementation of Brand and Therapeutic Area strategies.
- Oversee, consolidate, and actively manage the Country/MCO Medical Budget (Medical Management and Clinical), identifying variances, proposing resource reallocation, and ensuring accurate forecasting and expense reconciliation.
- Facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including Key Markets Medical Operations, RWE Global Team, Finance, Business Operations, GTMC, and Global Medical Operations.
- Manage and enforce medical compliance in alignment with global policies, ensuring all medical activities are implemented to the highest ethical standards.
- Contribute to and facilitate the implementation of internal projects to simplify and optimize medical transformation processes, leading or co-leading internal operational meetings and working groups.
About you
- 2–3 years of experience is preferred specifically in Medical Operations, Medical Excellence, or Medical Governance within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum 5 years of overall relevant professional experience in project management, including planning, budget management, and executing complex strategies.
- Degree in a scientific discipline (BS, MS, PhD, PharmD, MD, or DVM) or related field; MBA or professional project management qualification (PMP or Agile Methodology) is a strong advantage.
- Experience in drug development, medical affairs, or a related field, including understanding of the current pharmaceutical environment.
- Proven experience in product launch and launch excellence.
- Strong project management skills with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs including scenario and contingency planning.
- Excellent transversal communication, networking, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated effectiveness in matrix and cross-cultural organizations.
- Results-driven with a positive, pragmatic approach; resilient, optimistic, and open to change.
- Ability to challenge and influence at all levels, with strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is highly preferred.
