3V Sigma is seeking an experienced Packaging Operations Supervisor to lead the packaging operations for a specific production unit at our Georgetown, South Carolina manufacturing facility.
This hands-on leadership position is responsible for supervising packaging personnel and ensuring the operation meets established safety, quality, production, and equipment-performance expectations.
Schedule- Day Shift 7am to 330pm, Monday to Friday, OT has needed
Pay Range is $28-$34/hour
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise employees assigned to the unit’s packaging operations.
- Coordinate daily packaging activities to meet production schedules, cycle-time expectations, and productivity goals.
- Ensure production procedures, critical process steps, and ISO/EFfCI quality requirements are consistently followed.
- Review batch sheets, production records, checklists, and other required documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor packaging operations, troubleshoot performance or quality issues, and coordinate maintenance support when needed.
- Enter work orders in JD Edwards and help prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Conduct employee training, operational audits, and weekly safety meetings.
- Ensure proper completion of work permits, Lockout/Tagout procedures, confined-space requirements, and incident reports.
- Review production data, SPC/SQC charting, quality results, and audit findings to identify and address operational concerns.
- Support improvements involving safety, quality, productivity, cycle time, equipment reliability, and packaging processes.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing, packaging, chemical, or industrial production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage employee performance and maintain accountability for operational results.
- Experience reviewing production records, batch documentation, operating procedures, or quality records.
- Working knowledge of industrial safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout and work-permit requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot production or packaging issues and coordinate effectively with maintenance and technical personnel.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and process-control data.
- Experience with JD Edwards or a similar manufacturing or maintenance system is preferred.
- Experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment is preferred.
