Producer - EC First Party Development Department (Osaka Branch) (ECFD)

Rakuten Ichiba, operated by Rakuten Group, has grown as  BtoBtoC business but in order to achieve further growth, we  are expanding BtoC business. 

For BtoC services, Rakuten operates everything from purchasing and inventory management to sales and shipping and we operate businesses of various size. 

EC First Party Development Department (ECFD) has responsibility for developing and operating the systems related to BtoC business. Our mission is to accelerate the expansion of our services by working closely with not only the business division but also the various service that are creating Rakuten Eco-System such as Rakuten Members, Rakuten Points.

Producer is product manager (PDM) / project manager (PJM) who promotes development and is responsible for improving the value of Rakuten's services while cooperating with business division. 

We are looking for the candidate who can create high competitiveness in a rapidly changing industry. 

ECFD Osaka develops and operates the following services. 

・POSA (Pre-paid card) 

The number of users has increased in recent years, and also the size of market is growing due to the convenience of being able to obtain the products anytime and anywhere by accessing from PC or smartphone, without going to store or wait for them to be delivered to your home. 

 Under these circumstances, we have plans to launch additional service, so we are looking for people who are willing to involve in the development of new service as well as existing services. 

Position Details 

・Service management and product management (medium/long-term strategy, KPI management, etc.) 

・Develop product plans for web applications in line with business division strategy 

・Support for defining business requirements for business division 

・Project Management 

・Adjust requirements between tech and business division from system requirements definition to release/operation 

・Adjust and negotiate with people inside and outside the team 

Work Environment 

In addition, you will collaborate with the members of the business division, as well as, other group of people related system-work. They are located in Tokyo, and we communicate with them through Zoom and other tool. 

Most members are mid-career. They belonged to software vendors or system integrators, and they are working by making use of each experience. In recent years, we have strengthened the recruitment and training of new graduates, so they're gradually placed to some of the important position for development.

・Communication tool: Zoom, Teams, Slack 

・Document tool: Atlassian Confluence, Power Point, Excel etc. 

・Ticket management: JIRA 
 

Mandatory Qualifications: 

・Experience of EC site (or Internet/Internet system) operation and maintenance (system monitoring, performance design/management, etc.) 

・Experience in developing systems that require high reliability 

・Experience in handling system troubles (initial response, permanent countermeasure, reporting to stakeholders, etc.) 

・Basic knowledge about web system security 

・Over 5 years of project management experience 

・Experience in launching new service and product 

・Experience in creating documents and team development with collaboration tools such as Atlassian Confluence and JIRA 

・Experience in system development and project management experience through communication in English (Reading/Writing) 

・Experience in mainly remote communication with other sites (domestic and other overseas) 

Desired Qualifications: 

・Systematic knowledge such as PMP, CMMI, or ITIL etc.
