Location: Toronto (200 Front St)

Hybrid (up to 3 days onsite)

1 year contract (260 business days)

Must Haves:

1. 10+ years of hands-on experience performing business analysis for mission-critical (or business-critical) business services leading to modernization and transformation through information management and information technology.

2. 10+ years of experience delivering business analysis products and meeting deadlines in fast-paced and dynamic business environments with responsibility for multiple concurrent project deliverables and complex stakeholder relationships.

3. Experience leading and conducting business analysis in order to assess clients' business problems/opportunities and technology needs. Experience conducting requirements gathering, and documenting the business requirements (functional, non-functional, volumetrics) in such a way that I&IT solutions can be sized and determined, especially solutions deployed to cloud environments or through Software as a Service (SaaS).

4. Experience developing sound frameworks, models, processes and templates for customer engagement, intake and requirements gathering and understanding business strategies, plans and needs, such as interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, and mockups.

5. Experience conducting stakeholder engagement and demonstrated collaboration skills across diverse functional roles in business and IT.

Nice to haves:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Professional certifications in Business Analysis (e.g, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)), Information Management, Records Management (e.g, Certified Records Manager (CRM)), or relevant technology certification.
  3. Experience working within or supporting public sector organizations and understanding their regulatory environments.
  4. Experience applying Information Management principles, concepts, policies, information and records classification schemes, and practices to inform and transform business solutions, especially those implemented on enterprise Information Management platforms (such as OpenText)

Project Description

Supply Ontario is advancing its digital infrastructure by deploying robust enterprise cloud and information management platforms as enabling technologies for modern, innovative, secure and efficient business solutions. The Business Analyst will spearhead the dissemination and understanding of business strategies, plans and needs across the Digital, Data and Technology team, and promote enterprise platforms as the foundation for modern business solutions that ensure compliance with regulatory mandates, internal policies, and enterprise architecture. This role will focus on translating business strategies and plans into solutioning opportunities and needs, facilitating collaboration between business and enterprise technology teams, developing frameworks for customer relationship management, and supporting enterprise solution adoption. The Business Analyst will also promote alignment to agency business priorities and compliance with public sector regulations, while managing stakeholder engagement and customer acceptance.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fee-for-Service (FFS) Business Analyst to lead internal customer engagement for the rollout and implementation of enterprise platforms and solutions that will enhance the organization's posture on its journey to self-sufficiency and technology independence.

8. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills; and political acuity.

9. Experience applying Information Management principles, concepts, policies, information and records classification schemes, and practices to inform and transform business solutions, especially those implemented on enterprise Information Management platforms (such as OpenText).

10. Experience identifying, describing, assessing risks, issues and problems, and developing and implementing responses and resolutions using formal methodologies.

11. Experience summarizing opportunities, solutions and deliverable status to I&IT management and stakeholders.

12. Experience conducting research, analysis, environmental/jurisdictional scans, feasibility studies and maturity assessments relative to legislation, policy, business methodologies and standards.

13. Experience assessing training and awareness needs, developing curricula and communication plans, and delivering training on business and technology topics (e.g. information management, security) to diverse audiences.

14. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365, PowerPoint (including WordArt), Visio, Figma, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Co-Pilot, and Atlassian's Jira and Confluence.
