Not RequiredWe are seeking a highly skilled SAP Production & Manufacturing Functional Analyst with deep hands-on expertise in S/4HANA Plan to Sustain (P2S) processes. This role focuses heavily on Production Planning (PP), Shop Floor Execution, MRP, and Maintenance/Asset Management within discrete manufacturing and sustainment environments.
The ideal candidate brings real S/4HANA configuration experience, strong knowledge of end-to-end production processes, and the ability to support and optimize complex manufacturing operations. You will partner closely with production, maintenance, supply chain, and operations teams to deliver stable, scalable, and high-performing solutions.
This is a highly visible role that blends functional analysis, configuration, production support, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and sustainment processes.
** This is a hybrid-based position at one of Collins’ major facilities. **
What YOU will do:
Engage directly with production, planning, maintenance, and operations teams to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
Perform hands-on SAP PP / MRP / EAM / QM configuration, ensuring alignment with manufacturing best practices.
Design and optimize end-to-end P2S business processes including MRP, production execution, capacity planning, shop floor control, work order management, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
Lead production-related projects and enhancements; act as Business Analyst and Functional Lead.
Manage the full testing lifecycle for production and sustainment processes (test planning, data setup, script creation, UAT support).
Provide Level 3 SAP Production support, troubleshoot complex PP/MFG issues, and resolve defects impacting shop floor or planning performance.
Analyze new requests, develop accurate LOE estimates, and recommend solution options.
Apply Lean, root-cause problem-solving, and continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and optimize process performance.
Collaborate with technical teams (onshore/offshore) to deliver integrated development and configuration solutions.
Create user documentation, job aids, and training materials to support new manufacturing capabilities or system changes.
Maintain strong partnership with production leaders and serve as a trusted advisor for SAP manufacturing capabilities.
Qualifications YOU Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.

5+ years of hands-on SAP experience in manufacturing/production environments OR– 3+ years with an advanced degree
Deep functional expertise in SAP P2S.
Production Planning (PP).
Shop Floor Execution / MES integration.
Materials Requirements Planning (MRP, MRP Live).
Ability to travel 25–50%.
Qualifications We Prefer:
PP/DS (preferred).
Plant Maintenance / EAM (orders, notifications, technical objects)
Quality Management (QM) integration.
Aftermarket / MRO production processes .
Hands-on configuration of master data (BOMs, routings, work centers, production versions), MRP strategies, scheduling, and shop floor control.
Experience supporting or migrating legacy production/maintenance systems to SAP S/4HANA.Background in discrete manufacturing, MRO/sustainment, aerospace/defense, or complex engineered products.
Professional certifications highly desirable:
- SAP S/4HANA Production Planning & Manufacturing
- SAP S/4HANA Asset Management
- APICS CPIM / CSCP
- IIBA CBAP / CCBA
- ISM CPSM or equivalent

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
