What’s on offer?
We have an opportunity for a Spray Seal Estimator to join our Eastern Region Infrastructure Services team. Based in Thornton and reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will play an important role within our estimating team. Key clients that you will work closely with include state government, local government, the private sector and internal entities throughout the NSW Regions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail and is looking to further develop their career within the road surfacing and infrastructure industry.

What you’ll do?

  • Prepare accurate and competitive tenders, quotes and pricing submissions by reviewing RFT specifications, drawings, contract documentation, scopes of work, work schedules and bill of quantities.

  • Apply and reinforce established estimating processes and internal governance requirements, including pricing direct job costs in Expert Estimation software and compiling tender support documentation.

  • Assess project risks, opportunities, delivery methodologies, and site-specific considerations through site inspections, pre-tender meetings and stakeholder engagement.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and service partners, negotiating pricing and securing competitive quotations and service offerings.

  • Participate in tender reviews and meetings with senior management, ensuring submissions are completed accurately, professionally and on time.

  • Support business growth through proactive client engagement, identification of new opportunities, and delivery of the NSW Spray Seal strategy to secure ongoing and repeat work.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality in all written and verbal communications.

  • Complete successful tender and contract handovers to operational teams, ensuring pricing assumptions, risks and delivery requirements are clearly communicated.

How you’ll connect to the role?

We're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented professional who enjoys. You may have experience in spray seal, and you will have experience in estimating, project or a similar role within the road surfacing industry or infrastructure sectors.

You will have strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across operational and commercial teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines. Experience with project documentation, procurement processes, quality systems and financial administration will be highly regarded. Most importantly, you'll be proactive, adaptable and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes while contributing to a safe, collaborative and customer-focused team environment.
