Job Description
We are hiring a Senior Medical Writer II to join Langland, where scientific excellence, creativity and strategic thinking come together to make a meaningful impact in healthcare communications. This is an opportunity to take a leading role in developing high-quality scientific content, partnering with clients and multidisciplinary teams to bring complex healthcare stories to life. As a senior member of the writing team, you'll help shape communication strategies, mentor colleagues and contribute to work that informs, inspires and drives positive change across the healthcare landscape.Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high-quality scientific and medical content across a diverse portfolio of healthcare communication projects
- Translate complex clinical data and scientific concepts into clear, engaging and audience-appropriate materials
- Partner closely with clients, providing scientific counsel and building trusted relationships through expert communication
- Contribute to communication strategies by identifying scientific opportunities and helping shape project direction
- Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of scientific accuracy, quality and compliance
- Mentor and support junior writers, sharing expertise and contributing to a collaborative learning environment
- Work cross-functionally with account, strategy, creative and medical teams to deliver integrated solutions that achieve client objectives
Qualifications
- Significant experience in medical writing within a healthcare communications agency, pharmaceutical company or related scientific environment
- Strong ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific, clinical and healthcare information
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Confidence presenting scientific content and discussing recommendations with clients and internal stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving, mentoring and continuous improvement
- A genuine passion for healthcare communications and a commitment to delivering work that makes a meaningful impact
