Position Summary

The expectation of this position is to lead and direct a GP PS Hatchery team to provide quality products by meeting customer expectations and achieving financial and business objectives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (typically acquired through four (4) years of college-level education).

Experience

• Four (4) or more years of poultry management-related experience.

Computer Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using standard computer applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Direct oversight of:
  • Two (2) or more salaried team members
  • One (1) management support position
  • Approximately 20+ hourly team members

Travel

• Domestic travel approximately four (4) times per year.

Biosecurity Requirements

• Work is performed in a biosecure environment requiring showering prior to entering the facility and possibly multiple times throughout the workday.
• Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the company.
• Jewelry is not permitted on the job site, except for medical ID jewelry.
• Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with avian species (e.g., chickens, ducks, birds).
• Must follow all company Animal Welfare policies and Cobb Farms Hatcheries Biosecurity Standards at all times.

Physical Requirements

• Must follow safe lifting techniques.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, and hear.
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Must follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment when visiting facilities.
