General Manager / Senior Property Manager
Luxury Mixed-Use Multifamily | Downtown Pittsburgh, PA
Are you an experienced multifamily leader who thrives in a high-autonomy environment and knows the Pittsburgh market inside and out? We're partnering with a growing real estate investment and development firm seeking a seasoned General Manager / Senior Property Manager to oversee a premier mixed-use portfolio in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh.
This is a rare opportunity to lead a high-profile portfolio while playing a key role in the company's long-term growth strategy. Today, you'll oversee two Class A communities totaling approximately 400 luxury apartment homes, 43,000 square feet of retail space, and 427 parking spaces, along with a small portfolio of nearby residential assets. Tomorrow, you'll help position the company for the addition of a 460-unit development currently in the entitlement phase, which will more than double its Pittsburgh presence and establish it as one of the city's largest residential owners.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:
• Lead all day-to-day operations for a luxury mixed-use portfolio consisting of residential, retail, and parking assets.
• Drive financial performance through strategic budgeting, expense control, occupancy management, and revenue optimization.
• Develop thoughtful pricing strategies based on market conditions, submarket trends, and asset positioning—not simply automated revenue management recommendations.
• Ensure rents remain competitive and proactively identify opportunities to maximize revenue.
• Build strong relationships with retail tenants, residents, vendors, and ownership.
• Lead, mentor, and support an experienced on-site team while fostering a collaborative, service-focused culture.
• Partner closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure exceptional property appearance and resident satisfaction.
• Oversee leasing performance, resident retention, capital improvements, and operational excellence across multiple buildings.
• Provide strategic insight as the company prepares for significant future development and portfolio expansion.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a polished, self-directed leader who understands the nuances of operating luxury urban assets and can confidently manage a complex mixed-use portfolio with minimal oversight.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required (four-year degree).
• 10+ years of multifamily property management experience.
• Experience managing Class A or luxury multifamily communities.
• Strong financial acumen, budgeting, and operational leadership skills.
• Demonstrated success with pricing strategy and revenue management beyond simply relying on revenue management software.
• Experience overseeing multiple properties and leading high-performing on-site teams.
• Mixed-use, commercial retail, or parking management experience is highly desirable.
• Recent knowledge of the Pittsburgh market, including rental trends, competitive properties, and resident demographics, is strongly preferred.
• Experience with RealPage revenue management required; MRI experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
