Self Help Inc. is currently looking for a HEARTWAP Outreach Coordinator to join our team.

We provide a range of services for families and households across Southeastern Massachusetts.


Job Summary

 The AMP/WAP Outreach Coordinator assists clients and potential clients in obtaining services that help improve their home energy efficiency that include electrical energy audits, light bulb and appliance upgrades to help save clients on their electric bills. Weatherization programs that improve insulation and weatherproofing to help clients save on their heating bills


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients requesting services.
  • Monitors the referrals from the Statewide Call Center and updates the database.
  • Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of services provided.
  • Coordinating pre-authorization paperwork with clients
  • Screens clients for available services and services already provided
  • Preparing electronic files for upcoming audits
  • Scheduling appointments for various inspections
  • Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funding source requirements 
  • Prepares referrals for heating system and heat pump eligible clients
  • Completes required documentation and submit to Director in a timely manner
  • Maintain program records according to established standards
  • Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and /or funding source requirements, as well as Self Help Inc. policies and procedures
  • Schedules other appointments as necessary
  • Attend and participate in engagement team meeting as requested and communicate effectively with clients and staff in other areas

Other Requirements

  • Must pass a criminal background check and other required clearances
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to meet insurance standards

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • The position is office based and the Outreach Coordinator will have direct contact with clients served by Self Help Inc. in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services or by the public utilities. A Successful background check is required

Hourly Rate: $20-$22


Knowledge, Skills and abilities

  • Ability to communicate technical terms to a diverse client base
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office and Sales Force experience a plus. 
  • Ability to calculate dimensions, area and volume
  • Commitment to working with people of different backgrounds and income levels
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs
  • Ability to work in sitting for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 35 lbs occasionally

Education & Experience

  • High School or GED is required
  • Associates degree in a related field such as marketing, communications or public relations
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience
