You will evolve and support Oracle-based applications that matter to the business. Your work will span enhancing and optimising mature codebases, resolving difficult application and database issues at root cause, and delivering integrations that enable dependable information flow across systems.

Profile for Success
- A minimum three-year IT qualification and at least five years of relevant software-development experience.
- Demonstrated delivery of Oracle Forms and Oracle PL/SQL solutions in production, including enhancement of existing systems rather than greenfield work only.
- Evidence of diagnosing and resolving complex application or RDBMS issues, with clear ownership of the fix.
- Experience building or maintaining RESTful, SOAP and/or WCF integrations, including XML and JSON data exchange.
- Solid database-development capability using Oracle or Postgres. MS SQL Server or MySQL exposure is advantageous.
- Practical experience with Angular, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery or PHP where relevant to the delivery context.
- A track record of working in Agile delivery environments and contributing to CI/CD and DevOps ways of working.
- Examples of improving quality through unit testing, automation, code reviews, technical documentation or release discipline.
- The confidence to mentor less experienced developers and collaborate with product, analysis and operations stakeholders.
- FinTech exposure is advantageous, not a hard requirement.
