Description
Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Data Analytics, Urban Planning, Economics, Geographic Information Systems B(GIS), or a closely related field required. Demonstrated proficiency managing and creating performance dashboards. Experience using ArcGIS or other spatial analysis and data mapping tools to inform development or planning decisions. Demonstrated experience conducting quantitative real estate, financial, or spatial data analysis to inform public policy, asset disposition, or municipal investment strategies. Demonstrated experience creating transparency between partners through data, responsibility setting, and task completion and performance metrics.
- Manage a comprehensive database of downtown commercial properties (100,000+ sq. ft.) and a companion list for downtown residential properties, gathering updated information on lease expiration, contracts, and other relevant information.
- Update property records with private-market data (e.g., CoStar, TREPP reports).
- Uses spatial analysis tools (such as ArcGIS) and data tracking to assist the Head of Urban Redevelopment Strategy in proactively identifying adaptive reuse, site activation, and high-impact redevelopment opportunities.
- Evaluates underperforming, vacant, or blighted buildings using established score card metrics.
- Prepares quarterly market reports regarding the health of the downtown real estate market, specifically focused on vacancies, absorption, subleases, concessions, City competitiveness, and assessment of distressed buildings.
- Serves as the City’s technical point of contact for the building receivership process.
- Monitors and logs downtown infrastructure deficiencies (e.g., sidewalk conditions, streetlight functionality) in partnership with external stakeholders, elevating issues according to code enforcement needs.
- Works to support and serve as the primary contact person for the distressed building coalition meetings.
- Support the Land Strategy and Asset Redevelopment team and the Department of Development with real estate market analyses and data requests.
- Acts as the primary database administrator for the team's real estate metrics, building performance dashboards to measure progress toward the department’s goals.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
