Job Summary:
The Pack Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately packing customer orders, inspecting products for quality, and preparing shipments in accordance with company standards. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety, productivity, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pack customer orders accurately according to company standards and work instructions.
- Verify items, quantities, and product condition before packing.
- Scan products and shipping labels using handheld RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Apply shipping labels, dunnage, and packaging materials to ensure products are protected during transit.
- Maintain productivity and quality goals while minimizing errors and defects.
- Monitor workstations to ensure cleanliness and organization (5S standards).
- Report damaged products, inventory discrepancies, or equipment issues to leadership.
- Assist with replenishment, rebin, decant, or other warehouse functions as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques.
- Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to meet customer shipment deadlines (CPTs/ship windows).
- Participate in daily startup meetings, coaching sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment center experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- Basic computer and scanner experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and teamwork skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to meet productivity and quality expectations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
Working Conditions:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of packages.
- Working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and moderate noise levels.
- Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
Performance Expectations:
- Meet or exceed hourly productivity (UPH) goals.
- Maintain high quality and low defect rates.
- Follow all safety policies with zero unsafe behaviors.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Support overall operational goals by helping achieve daily shipment and customer delivery targets.
