If so, we are looking for a dedicated SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Barking.

 

As a SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support for a student with SEMH needs, helping them to access learning, regulate their emotions, and develop positive relationships throughout the school day.

• Holds a valid Team Teach qualification (essential)

• Has excellent communication skills and a nurturing approach

 

This SEMH Learning Support Assistant role is a fantastic opportunity to support a secondary-aged student who requires consistency, encouragement, and structured support to succeed both academically and emotionally. As a SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to implement behaviour support strategies and promote positive engagement in learning, using your Team Teach training where appropriate.
