Description

The SVP, System Integration leads the end-to-end integration of acquired hospitals into the health system - from due diligence support through post-close stabilization and performance turnaround.

 

This executive drives integration strategy and governance, ensures day-one operational readiness, aligns clinical and quality standards, tracks synergy realization, and leads change management to successfully merge acquired entities' operations and culture with the broader system.

 

Acquisition and Due Diligence Support

  • Partner with executive leadership, project management and advisors during the transaction process
  • Support operational and clinical due diligence for the target hospital
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities that affect integration success
  • Assess performance across financial, clinical, operational, and regulatory domains
  • Translate findings into integration priorities and mitigation plans
  • Integration Strategy and Planning

  • Facilitate the development of and oversee the enterprise integration roadmap
  • Establish governance structures and integration workstreams
  • Lead creation of detailed integration plans across all functions
  • Develop milestone plans (day-one, first 100 days, multi-year)
  • Operationalization of the Integration

  • Lead operational transition from transaction close through stabilization
  • Ensure day-one readiness across critical functions
  • Align hospital operations with system standards and governance
  • Monitor and mitigate operational disruption risks
  • Performance Turnaround Leadership

  • Develop and execute a performance improvement plan
  • Identify initiatives to improve financial, operational, and clinical performance
  • Track synergy realization and value capture
  • Establish accountability and performance monitoring mechanisms
  • Clinical, Physician, and Quality Integration

  • Align clinical standards and care models with system leadership
  • Support physician engagement and medical staff integration
  • Monitor quality and patient safety during integration
  • Governance and Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare executive and board-level updates
  • Facilitate alignment across leadership and stakeholders
  • Support internal and external communication strategies
  • Cultural and Organizational Change Leadership

  • Lead change management and cultural integration efforts
  • Support employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Promote alignment with system mission, values, and standards
  • Additional Duties as Assigned

    Travel: Less than 10% of the time may be required

    Work Type: Hybrid employee - splits time between working remotely and working in the office

     

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required
    • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic planning, growth, finance, and operations within the healthcare industry
    • Significant senior leadership experience in hospital or health system operations
    • Experience leading integration, transformation, or turnaround efforts
    • Strong financial and operational acumen

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium Max 25lbs): up to 25 lbs., 0-33% of the work day (occasionally) Lifting 25 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environmental conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure, Bio-hazardous waste chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, Communicable diseases, Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
