Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next Project Manager to lead marketing automation implementations and migrations. This role combines project management, client relationship management, and functional expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and Data 360. The ideal candidate can translate business requirements into practical solutions, guide functional solution design, and perform hands-on platform configuration when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Client Management: Lead end-to-end Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next implementations and migrations. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships, managing expectations, and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Consultative Approach & Solution Design: Advise clients on Marketing Cloud Next best practices and recommend solutions aligned with their business goals. Guide discussions around audience segmentation, campaign management, marketing automation, and customer journeys.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute project plans, managing milestones, timelines, and deliverables across a portfolio of 10–20 concurrent projects. Projects typically range from 5–80 hours, with an average implementation requiring approximately 40 hours of combined project management and technical work.
- Scope & Budget Management: Review statements of work with clients and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Identify out-of-scope requests and assess their impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Requirements Gathering & Communication: Lead client discovery sessions to understand business requirements, marketing processes, data needs, and automation goals. Translate these requirements into functional specifications and user stories for Salesforce Administrators and technical team members.
- Marketing Cloud Next Implementation & Configuration: Guide functional implementations and perform hands-on configuration when needed, including audience segmentation, campaign setup, marketing automation, and customer journey workflows.
- Data 360 & Integration Planning: Apply functional knowledge of Salesforce Data 360 to guide discussions around customer data management, audience segmentation, data activation, and integration requirements. Collaborate with technical resources to validate proposed solutions and address implementation challenges.
- Marketing Platform Migrations: Lead migrations from existing Salesforce Marketing Cloud products and third-party marketing automation platforms to Marketing Cloud Next, coordinating discovery, data preparation, configuration, testing, and client readiness.
- Testing, Training & Client Adoption: Coordinate user acceptance testing, client training, and go-live activities. Ensure delivered solutions meet documented requirements and clients are prepared to use their new marketing automation environments successfully.
