Autism diagnostic evaluations | Texas telehealth | Flexible 1099 contract

Our US-based client is a new telehealth practice co-founded by a pediatric neurologist. We are hiring our first psychologist to build and deliver autism diagnostic evaluations for children and teens in Texas. Delays in evaluation leave families without clarity about their child's needs and next steps.

Paid onboarding and clinical development begin in late 2026 with launch shortly after. Initial patient volume will be limited; we will define the starting age range and clinical scope together.

What you'll do

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations using developmental history, records, clinical interviews and evidence-based, telehealth-appropriate assessments.
• Write clear, timely reports; explain findings and next steps to families; coordinate with referring providers.
• Build evaluation protocols, intake questionnaires, report templates and workflows with the founders.
• Define age- and presentation-specific eligibility, including when additional testing or an in-person referral is needed.

• Paid founding work: Begin with a separately scoped, paid project to develop protocols and templates, then conduct evaluations as we launch.
• Flexible schedule and caseload; part-time is welcome, and you may keep your existing practice. We handle intake, scheduling, records, payment and technology. Private-pay practice: no insurance verification, prior authorizations or payer audits.
• Fully remote, subject to licensure and practice-location requirements. PSYPACT clinicians must practice from their declared home state.
• Direct access to the founders and a path to clinical leadership as the practice grows.

Requirements

• PhD/PsyD in clinical, counseling or school psychology from an APA-accredited program; current psychologist license in good standing.
• Active Texas psychologist license or valid PSYPACT authority for Texas before clinical care begins. Candidates pursuing the required authorization may be considered.
• Experience diagnosing pediatric autism, not only treating it, plus strong assessment, report-writing, family communication and independent-work skills.
