SENIOR SUPERVISOR - LIFTING (APLO)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Supervisor – Lifting for an ADNOC Onshore project. The ideal candidate should have proven experience supervising lifting and rigging operations within onshore oil & gas projects, ensuring the safe execution of lifting activities in compliance with ADNOC requirements, approved lifting procedures, and HSE standards. ADNOC approval is mandatory.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate lifting and rigging operations at onshore oil & gas project sites, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Review lifting plans, method statements, risk assessments, and job safety analyses (JSA) before commencing lifting activities.
• Ensure all lifting operations comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, applicable regulations, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with construction, operations, rigging, logistics, and HSE teams to plan and execute lifting activities.
• Supervise crane operators, riggers, banksmen, and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
• Ensure cranes, hoists, slings, shackles, spreader beams, and other lifting accessories are inspected, certified, and suitable for the intended operations.
• Verify lifting equipment certificates, inspection records, load charts, and third-party certification before equipment is used.
• Monitor site lifting activities to ensure compliance with approved lifting plans, exclusion zones, safe working practices, and load-handling procedures.
• Ensure critical and heavy lifting operations are adequately planned, risk-assessed, and executed by competent and authorized personnel.
• Identify potential lifting hazards and implement appropriate control measures to prevent accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.
• Conduct toolbox talks, pre-lifting briefings, and safety checks to ensure personnel understand their responsibilities and the associated risks.
• Coordinate lifting activities with construction teams to support the safe installation and movement of equipment, structures, piping materials, and other project components.
• Maintain lifting operation records, inspection documentation, checklists, permits, and other required reports.
• Stop unsafe lifting activities and ensure corrective actions are implemented whenever deviations from approved procedures or safety requirements are identified.
• Ensure lifting operations are completed within project schedules while maintaining safety, quality, and operational standards.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification, as required by the project.
• Relevant experience in lifting supervision within onshore oil & gas, EPC, construction, or industrial projects.
• Valid ADNOC approval for the Senior Supervisor – Lifting position is mandatory.
• Proven experience supervising lifting and rigging operations at onshore oil & gas facilities.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC lifting standards, approved lifting procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable industry regulations.
• Good understanding of lifting plans, critical lifting assessments, method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems.
• Knowledge of cranes, lifting accessories, equipment certification, inspection requirements, safe working load (SWL), and working load limits (WLL).
• Ability to identify lifting hazards, implement risk-control measures, and ensure safe execution of lifting activities.
• Experience coordinating with construction, rigging, crane operators, and HSE teams on onshore project sites.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance with ADNOC and project requirements.
